Industry Tips:
The Unpredictable weather can leave your skin feeling tight and sometimes dry and flaky, and as soon as you turn up the heating indoors, your skin will start to dry out. Your Skin will love moisture, so nourishing moisture face masque and daily protection moisturizers are absolute must to keep your skin happy and radiant.
If you are in need of a little pampering boost that will do wonders for your body, treat yourself to the Hot Stone Massage, it is the ultimate treatment for aches, tension and poor circulation from £35.
It is just as important to give your hair as much TLC as your skin during the colder months of the year, and something as simple as a restyle, Keratin or colour work can make all the difference.
Depending on your hairstyle, a maintenance cut is recommended every six to eight weeks to avoid split ends and for your hair to look & feel healthy.
Using the right hair products play a big role for conditioning and styling of your hair. Most definitely use quality professional products starting from £9.99, you will use far less and last approx 12 weeks…….savvy investment.
10 Tips to The perfect Blow-dry….
- Start with damp hair, it’s easier to manipulate.
- Use a heat protector spray with your favourite volumising spray or anti-frizz oil, apply it from top to bottom. Don’t be afraid to use, most styling products are lightweight and won’t make hair sticky.
- Take a section from the top of your head that starts either side of your brows and runs back to your crown. Lift this section up like a Mohican and saturate it with root volumizer spray. For maximum heat use a hairdryer nozzle, blow dry every inch of this section using a barrel brush to pull hair up. Set with cold air. Ideally this section should stand up on its own once you have finished.
- Clip this section out of the way and get the rest of your hair 80 per cent dry. Flip your head upside down, shake your hair around- the more you move it the more volume you’ll get. Don’t worry if it looks messy at this stage.
- Now blow dry your hair in sections going across your head, working around the clipped section you’ve already done. Take a round brush or flat bristle brush in one hand and position it underneath the section. Always angle the hairdryer down and pull the brush down the hair as you go.
- Keep working until all your hair is done. The last three inches are key: move your brush and dryer right down to the very ends and take your time- it makes all the difference.
- Blast with cold hair to set. If you have very fine hair leave it to cool on its own as too much air can flatten it.
- If your hair is thick, wrap it in a bun on top of your head. This will give you a naturally full-bodied but not overly styled effect.
- For best results sleep on it, this will create a stylish lived-in finish.
